Teaching

Academic Year 2016-2017

*Spatial Analysis*

Grad-level lecture and discussion. Topics include: uncertainty analysis, basic data analysis and visualization, spatial analysis techniques including kriging, wavelet analysis, inverse distance weighting, spatial sampling design.

*Idaho Water Seminar*

Multi-institution seminar series on water issues important across the state of Idaho.

*The Dynamic Earth*

Introductory undergraduate course on geological and environmental science topics, including the rock and water cycles, climate change, and natural hazards.

*Scientific Writing Seminar*

Graduate-level discussion and workshop on technical writing and communication. Topics include: style, structure, oral and written presentations, communication with a diverse audience, media training.

*Critical Zone Reading Seminar*

An interdisciplinary graduate seminar where we read and discuss papers across the bio-geo-hydrosphere.
