About Me

My wife and I have four children. We love reading, biking, hiking, taking walks, and spending time with friends and family. Our favorite place to go is to our family cabin in Christmas Meadows, Utah.

Music is a major part of my life. The list of instruments that I have performed with include: piano, voice, saxophone, trumpet, oboe, clarinet, guitar, accordion, handbells, and harmonica. As an undergrad, I participated in the BYU marching band on trumpet, jazz combos on tenor saxophone, jazz studies with Steve Lindeman on piano, and guitar studies with Lawrence Green. I had the privelege of singing baritone in BYU’s 9-man internationally-renowned a cappella group Vocal Point from 2007 to 2010. My dream is to play jazz trumpet, piano, and sax in a community jazz band.

I love playing basketball, reading, cheap movie theaters, and country roads. I taught Italian classes at BYU from 2007 to 2010 during which time I helped to establish the BYU Palio, a semiannual cultural celebration bringing together students and faculty from BYU's Italian department.
